How to Ship Your Disney Souvenirs Home

Have you ever packed your suitcase at the end of a magical Disney trip only to realize… there's no way all your souvenirs are fitting? Trust me, I’ve been there. In fact, on my last Walt Disney World Resort trip, my fiancée and I went all out. We left each park with massive bags of merchandise—so big that when we sat on the Disney bus, our faces were completely hidden behind them.

Luckily, I recently discovered something that has been a complete lifesaver: You can have your Disney purchases shipped straight to your home! And the best part? It’s way more affordable than you might expect. Here’s everything you need to know about shipping your Disney treasures home.

Shipping from Walt Disney World & Disneyland Theme Parks

Yes, you can ship items home directly from the parks! Most major stores inside Walt Disney World and Disneyland offer merchandise shipping. If the shop you’re in doesn’t, a Cast Member can direct you to a nearby location that does.

Important things to know:

✔️ The items must be official Disney park merchandise.
✔️ You must have the original receipt for each item you want to ship.
✔️ Shipping costs are based on your total purchase price—not the weight of the package.

When I say this is an easy process, I mean it. Just let a Cast Member know you want to ship your items, and they’ll hand you a form to fill out. From there, they’ll pack everything up and send it on its way!

During my last trip, we shipped out a lot—including a couple of Star Wars droids we built in Galaxy’s Edge—and the total shipping cost was around $30. Considering how much space it saved in our luggage, it was absolutely worth it!

How to Ship a Lightsaber from Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

If you’ve ever built a lightsaber at Savi’s Workshop, you know how epic (and huge) they are. While you can bring them on a plane (most airlines consider them a carry-on), their size makes them tricky to travel with.

Since Savi’s Workshop isn’t technically a retail store, you can’t ship from there directly. Instead, take your lightsaber (and receipt) to Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities, Droid Depot, or First Order Cargo inside Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, and they’ll handle the shipping for you.

Shipping from Disney Resorts

Even if you don’t decide to ship your items until the last minute, you still have options! Most Disney resort gift shops can ship merchandise home, as long as you have the original receipt.

This was a game-changer for us. Instead of lugging our giant bags through the parks all day, we kept everything in our resort room or lockers and took it to the gift shop on checkout day. Within minutes, everything was packed up and sent on its way—no stress, no hassle.

What if You Need to Ship Non-Disney Items?

If you need to ship something that wasn’t purchased inside the parks (or you lost your receipt), don’t worry! Every Disney resort has a Bell Desk where you can mail pre-labeled, pre-packed packages.

And if you just want to send a postcard or letter home, you can drop it in the resort’s mailbox—just make sure you’ve already applied postage!

Final Thoughts

I had no idea Disney offered shipping services until recently, and now it’s something I always take advantage of. Whether you’re picking up large souvenirs like a lightsaber, stocking up on limited-edition merch, or just don’t feel like stuffing everything into your suitcase, shipping your items home is an affordable and stress-free solution.

So next time you’re on a Disney trip and go a little overboard on souvenirs (we’ve all been there!), just know that getting them home is easier than you think!
