FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Once you approve the proposal I send you, your trip reservation will be placed on hold for 1-3 days. During this time, I will send you a secure form to collect your credit card information.

A deposit at minimum is required after the holding period to officially secure your reservation. Please note that this deposit requirement is standard, whether you book through me or directly with Disney. After the deposit is made, you have the flexibility to pay off your trip however you prefer, as long as the entire balance is paid off by the due date.

I will process all payments on your behalf. Before each payment, I will send you a Credit Card Authorization Form to confirm your consent for the transaction. You will also receive an email confirmation every time a payment is made.

In some cases, such as purchasing tickets for special events, those payments may need to be paid separately and in full. Any details about these payments will be shared with you ahead of time, so you'll know exactly what to expect.

To ensure you stay on track, I will send you email reminders about upcoming payments and the final balance due.

This system provides you with a simple, secure way to manage your payments while I take care of the rest of your planning.

  • Your security is my top priority. All payment information is collected through a secure Credit Card Collection Form and stored safely. For added protection, your CVV (Card Verification Value) is sent separately to ensure an extra layer of security. Only I have access to your credit card information, and it is used solely for your reservation. You can rest assured that your information is handled with the highest level of care and confidentiality.

  • My services are complimentary as I earn commissions from suppliers after your trip is complete. However, I do charge fees in specific circumstances, such as complicated itineraries, special requests, or if you cancel your trip after booking.

You will always be notified in the rare case that a fee is required.

  • Travel plans can sometimes change, and I understand that cancellations may be necessary. However, it's important to note that every trip is unique, and cancellation policies vary based on the supplier and type of booking.

In some cases, bookings may be non-refundable once payment is made in full. Changes or cancellations after a booking is confirmed may result in forfeiting some or all of the funds paid.

Before you pay your initial deposit, I will have you sign a "Vacation Cancellation Fee Notice" form. This means that if you request to cancel your reservation(s), your credit card on file will automatically be charged a Vacation Cancellation Fee. This fee is non-refundable and is collected to ensure that I am compensated for the time I’ve already spent booking and planning your vacation.

All cancellation requests must be submitted to me, Matthew Motley, in writing. Please be aware that third-party supplier cancellation penalties may apply, and I will work with you to navigate the process as smoothly as possible.

  • No, I do not book airfare. My specialty focuses primarily on Disney destinations.

  • Absolutely! If you're looking to make table reservations during your trip, I’d be more than happy to work with you to create a dining proposal and itinerary tailored to your preferences. You’ll have the flexibility to choose whether you'd like to book these reservations yourself through the My Disney Experience app or if you'd prefer for me to handle the booking on your behalf.

  • If you’re visiting Disneyland® Resort, I can absolutely assist with booking your Lightning Lane passes. However, for Walt Disney World® Resort, I do not book Lightning Lane passes. This is because the prices for these passes change daily and vary by park, and in order to protect myself from any liability, I do not handle Lightning Lane bookings for Walt Disney World® Resort clients.

That said, I will send you detailed emails with instructions on how to purchase these passes yourself, so you can still secure them easily and enjoy the benefits during your trip.

  • Absolutely! I’m happy to help with last-minute bookings. However, please keep in mind that availability for resorts, park tickets, and other accommodations may be limited, and your ideal choices might not be guaranteed. Since options can change quickly, I recommend reaching out to start planning at least 3 months before your desired travel dates for the best selection and experience.

  • While my focus is on the Disney destinations, I can work on requests for the Universal destinations as well. Please click here to request a free quote.

For some requests, I may recommend forwarding your inquiry to another agent through my host agency to ensure you receive the best possible service for your needs.

  • Yes, I offer travel protection through Travel Insured. If you choose to opt in for travel insurance, I will provide a quote when I send your proposal. If you decide not to opt in, you will need to sign an Insurance Waiver before your final payment is processed.

  • Yes, I offer ground transportation if needed! I work with a variety of trusted shuttle vendors and can include a quote for transportation when I send your proposal. Let me know your needs, and I’ll ensure your travel plans are seamless from start to finish.

  • If you’ve already booked your trip at one of the Disney destinations, don’t worry! With a simple booking transfer, I can manage your existing reservation at no additional cost to you.

To qualify for a booking transfer, your reservation must meet ALL the following criteria:

    • It must have been made directly with Disney (not through a third-party travel site).

    • The reservation cannot be paid in full.

    • It must have been booked within the last 30 days.

If your reservation meets these criteria, I’d be happy to take over your planning and ensure your trip is as magical as possible!

Send me an email at matthew@wishuponastarwithus.com to request a booking transfer.

  • It is possible for me to handle bookings for Disney destinations outside of the United States, however, please note that these destinations are outside of my specialty and that my services might not cover these bookings. Additionally, I may charge a booking fee for these services. If you're interested in visiting an international Disney theme park or resort, feel free to email me at matthew@wishuponastarwithus.com.

  • Yes, I am happy to work with everyone, even if you're outside of the United States! No matter where you're located, I can help you plan a magical Disney vacation.

  • Yes! I can absolutely help you book park tickets to the Disney theme parks, even if you’re not staying at a Disney Resort. However, I always encourage staying on Disney property if possible, as it comes with so many amazing perks—like an extra 30 minutes of “early entry” into the parks each day!

I can also assist with purchasing tickets for separately-ticketed special events, as well as, tickets for Disney’s Water Parks.

  • As a Disney travel planner, I am unable to book Disney Vacation Club (DVC) resort reservations on behalf of DVC Members. This is because DVC Membership accounts contain private information and require the actual Member to make the reservation directly through Disney Vacation Club Member Services, either online or by phone.

However, I can absolutely assist DVC Members with other aspects of their trip, including itinerary planning, dining reservations, and other recommendations. If you are a DVC Member and need help making the most of your vacation, I’d be happy to offer guidance! A fee for my services might apply and will be communicated to you before I handle your reservations.

Please note that I do not work for or represent The Walt Disney Company or any of its subsidiaries, affiliates, or associated companies in any capacity. I work as an independent contractor with Wish Upon A Star With Us Travel.
